Manchester United have signaled their interest in signing Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

The Daily Mail recently revealed that Newcastle are in a good position to sign Adarabioyo after opening talks with the centre-back.

However, that hasn’t stopped Manchester United from making an offer for the star from City’s academy, and the club are keen to open negotiations, according to Sky Sports.

Adarabioyo has been left out of Fulham’s squad for the last few games after informing Marco Silva’s team he will not be renewing his contract.

The London club had previously tried to extend the contract of the centre-back. But the two sides were unable to reach an agreement.

That paved the way for the defender to look for a new challenge. This makes him a player who is not worth transfer fees.

Newcastle are yet to reach an agreement with Adarabioyo and United hope to beat the Magpies to sign him.

United announced on Tuesday that Raphael Varane will leave the club this summer. With the Red Devils expected to bring in a replacement centre-back.
